Search "OnlyFans vs Pornhub" and almost every result is written for creators: which site pays more, which gets more views. This guide is for fans. It covers what a visitor could see on onlyfans.com and pornhub.com, plus what each site's own terms and help pages say, checked on 10 Oct 2026 PT.
The short answer: these aren't the same kind of site. OnlyFans sells paid subscriptions to individual creators. Pornhub is a free, ad-supported video site where verified creators upload, with a separate paid Premium site and a paid ad-reduction option on top. That difference changes what "subscribe" means, how you pay, and what you're actually buying.
This post doesn't review individual creators or videos. We don't verify or moderate content on either site; this guide covers public pages and terms checked on 10 Oct 2026 PT. Treat everything on both sites as 18+.
OnlyFans vs Pornhub: the short version
- OnlyFans (onlyfans.com): operated by Fenix International Limited in London, England. Logged out you get a log-in / sign-up screen, and every creator page is its own paid (or free) subscription.
- Pornhub (pornhub.com): its terms of service name the operator as Aylo Freesites Ltd in Nicosia, Cyprus. Videos are free to watch without an account where the site is available.
- "Subscribe" means different things. On OnlyFans it's usually a payment. On a Pornhub model profile, Subscribe sits next to Message and follows the creator for free.
- Pornhub's paid extras: Pornhub Premium, advertised at $9.99/month with a free week, and an ad-reduction option called PornhubX that, per Pornhub's Paid Service Terms, didn't take credit cards when we checked.
- Availability: As of 16 July 2026, per Mashable, Pornhub is blocked in 25 US states. Aylo blocks it there rather than run ID checks.
- Fanclan (fanclan.io): lets you search creators by look, niche, age, location and price. Profiles open on Fanclan first, then you click out to the creator's official link.
What OnlyFans shows logged out
On 10 Oct 2026 PT, the page description on onlyfans.com read: "OnlyFans is the social platform revolutionizing creator and fan connections. The site is inclusive of artists and content creators from all genres and allows them to monetize their content while developing authentic relationships with their fanbase." Logged out, the home page showed Sign up to support your favorite creators beside a Log in form, with Sign in with X and Sign in with Google, and a line asking you to "confirm that you are at least 18 years old". Below it sat a Latest featured posts feed from @onlyfans: OnlyFans' own picks, not a searchable directory.
On payments, OnlyFans' help center says it "accepts the majority of payment cards" and that "All prices appear, and are charged, in USD" (checked 10 Oct 2026 PT). Each creator sets their own subscription price, and paid messages and tips come on top.
What Pornhub shows a fan before signing in
We loaded pornhub.com from a US IP address on 10 Oct 2026 PT. The home page went straight to a grid of free videos, with menus, categories and a search box. A sign-in panel offered Log in with Google and Log in with X and promised playlists and "Tailored video suggestions". Ads labelled Remove Ads sat between rows of videos.
Your experience depends on where you are. In states and countries where Aylo has pulled the site, you won't see any of this (more on that below).

What a Pornhub model profile shows
We opened one verified creator's profile without an account. It showed a model rank, weekly, monthly and yearly ranks, total video views and a subscriber count, with tabs for Home, Videos, Photos, Stream and About, and two buttons: Message and Subscribe. There was no price, no paywall, and no tip or fan-club button on that page logged out.
That's the biggest practical difference for fans. Subscribing on Pornhub adds a creator to your feed. Subscribing on OnlyFans opens a monthly bill (unless the creator runs a free page).
OnlyFans vs Pornhub: what "Subscribe" gets you
Pornhub's Model Program page explains how creators earn there: "you are paid a percentage of the ad revenue made on your verified videos." (Checked 10 Oct 2026 PT; creator-side, not a fan discount.) When we loaded modelhub.com on 10 Oct 2026 PT, it redirected to pornhub.com, and the profile we opened showed no paid extras logged out. So don't assume a Pornhub creator sells anything on Pornhub itself. Many point fans to their own subscription pages elsewhere.
On OnlyFans, the subscription is the product. You pay the creator's monthly price (in USD), then may see locked posts, paid messages and tip prompts inside the feed.
If you mainly want free clips, Pornhub is built for that. If you want a specific creator's ongoing feed, messages or custom requests, that usually lives on a subscription site, and the creator's official link is the only safe way to get there.

Where Pornhub is blocked, and why
Aylo has chosen to block its sites, including Pornhub, in US states with adult age-verification laws instead of checking every visitor's ID. As of 16 July 2026, per Mashable, Pornhub is blocked in 25 US states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. Mashable notes that Louisiana isn't blocked; Recording Law says Pornhub verifies Louisiana visitors through the state's LA Wallet digital ID app.
This list changes as new laws take effect, so check current reporting for your state. We don't recommend using a VPN to get around a block: the law where you live still applies to you, and lookalike "Pornhub mirror" sites are a common scam and malware route.

For fans, the takeaway is simple: Pornhub's free library isn't reachable everywhere, while creator subscription sites are making their own, separate choices about age checks. If a creator you follow on Pornhub also has an official subscription page, that page may be the only way to keep following their work from a blocked state.
Paying for Pornhub: Premium, PornhubX and refunds
Pornhub Premium is a separate site, pornhubpremium.com. Premium prompts on pornhub.com advertised it on 10 Oct 2026 PT as "Super affordable at only $9.99/month" with "Free 7 day premium access" and "No Ads + Exclusive Content + HD Videos + Cancel Anytime".
Free trials renew automatically. Pornhub's Paid Service Terms (last modified November 19, 2025) say that at the end of a trial you're "automatically charged for the price of the subscription", and you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges. They add that "a nominal fee may be charged" at sign-up to check your payment method, then reversed. Our free trial checklist covers how to set a reminder.
PornhubX is ad reduction, not ad removal. The same terms describe PornhubX as "an ad-reduced viewing experience" you start from the Remove Ads buttons, and say links and promotions from models and content partners "will continue to be displayed". On payment, they say: "We are unable to accept credit card payments at this moment. Membership to PHX can only be purchased using ACH, Cryptocurrency, Pix, and SEPA." The upgrade panel on the page listed Crypto and Direct Debit, and said "All charges are in US $ unless otherwise specified."

What shows on your statement, and refund windows
The Paid Service Terms say "Aylo Billing US Corp. may appear on your credit card, bank statement, or phone bill". The checkout footer also names Toqon LLC in Austin, Texas, and Toqon EU Ltd in Cyprus. For more on this, see billing descriptors and privacy.
On refunds, the terms say you cancel Premium by contacting Customer Support, that cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and that there's no refund for unused time "except as may be required by applicable law". Requests go to [email protected]:
- Credit card payments: within 120 days of the transaction, reviewed case by case.
- Gift cards and crypto: within 90 days, and only "if technically feasible". The terms warn these methods "may be non-reversible".
- Chargebacks: "may prevent future purchases" with Aylo Billing.
If you pay by crypto or bank transfer, assume the money isn't coming back. Our payment dispute checklist covers what to save before you buy.
OnlyFans vs Pornhub on safety and verification
Pornhub's help center Trust and Safety page (April 2026, read 10 Oct 2026 PT) says "Only verified content creators may have content published to Pornhub", with IDs checked through third-party services Yoti and Incode, and consent paperwork required for every performer. It lists the scanning tools it uses on uploads and a Trusted Flagger Program that lets outside hotlines disable content immediately. The site footer links to Trust and Safety and Content Removal pages (checked 10 Oct 2026 PT).
That tells you about upload rules, not about any one video. On both sites, a "verified" badge means the platform checked an uploader's ID. It doesn't mean every off-site link in their bio is real.
A few habits help on either site:
- Free follows aren't private. On Pornhub, a public subscriber count shows on model profiles; pick a username that doesn't identify you.
- Watch for off-site links. Pornhub's menu linked out to FanCentro when we checked, and creators often post subscription links. Confirm the handle matches the creator's other official accounts before paying anywhere.
- Never pay off-platform. Gift cards, crypto sent to a person, or payment apps are a red flag on any site.
For more, see official links after social bans and spot fake profiles.
Where Fanclan fits
Pornhub lets you browse videos; OnlyFans has no logged-out search for creators. On Fanclan, when we checked on 10 Oct 2026 PT, you could:
- search for creators by look, niche, age, location and price
- use the Free chip to narrow the results
- see live creator rankings
- open a creator's profile on Fanclan first, then click out to their official link
Fanclan's footer reads: "Independent discovery platform. Not affiliated with OnlyFans, Fansly, or other creator platforms."
If you found someone on a tube site and want their official subscription page, our cross-platform check shows how to confirm it's the same person.
OnlyFans vs Pornhub: how to choose
- You want free videos and don't need a relationship with one creator: Pornhub, where it's available in your state or country.
- You want a specific creator's ongoing feed, messages or customs: a subscription site like OnlyFans, reached through the creator's official link.
- You're thinking about Pornhub Premium: set a reminder before the free week ends, since it renews automatically.
- You're thinking about PornhubX: know it only reduces ads and, when we checked, only took ACH, crypto, Pix or SEPA.
- Every time: stay 18+, confirm the official URL, and leave if anyone asks you to pay off-platform.

FAQ
Is Pornhub free?
The main site is free to watch without an account where it's available. Pornhub Premium (advertised at $9.99/month with a free week) and PornhubX ad reduction cost extra.
Is subscribing to someone on Pornhub the same as OnlyFans?
No. On the Pornhub model profile we checked, Subscribe followed the creator for free. On OnlyFans, subscribing usually means paying that creator monthly.
Why can't I open Pornhub in my state?
Aylo blocks its sites in states with adult age-verification laws instead of checking IDs. As of 16 July 2026, per Mashable, Pornhub is blocked in 25 US states.
Can I get a refund from Pornhub?
Its Paid Service Terms say card refund requests must be made within 120 days and are reviewed case by case; gift card and crypto refunds are only possible "if technically feasible", within 90 days.
Bottom line
OnlyFans and Pornhub answer different questions. Pornhub is a free video site where "subscribe" just means follow, with paid Premium and ad-reduction options and a state-by-state block map. OnlyFans charges per creator, in USD, behind a sign-in screen. Before you pay on Pornhub, check the renewal date on a free trial and remember crypto or bank payments may not be refundable. If you'd rather find a creator's official page first, Fanclan opens their profile before you click out.
